STEP 1: Ensure Building Common Areas are Clean

  1. Before you start to clean the studio, please drop off your cleaning supplies in studio then walk the following route to check for garbage (see video).

  2. Please move any garbage found outside in common areas to the dumpsters (see video + map of where dumpsters are).

Why is this important? When our clients leave garbage in or around the building, our building manager fines us $500.

Watch this video to see where you have to check for garbage OUTSIDE the unit.

STEP 2: Cleaning Inside the Studio

A. Where are the Supplies?

Everything is either under the kitchen or washroom sink, or above the washroom (use golden ladder to climb upstairs, code PUCK to unlock).

Under sinks: toilet bowl cleaner, garbage bags

Golden ladder: broom, dustpan

Above washroom: vacuum, garbage bags, red spray mop, floor cleaner solution (dilute 1 cleaner to 10 parts water), Windex, Bounty paper towels

B. Order of Operations

Please note the following instructions, as they are designed to help you clean faster. When cleaning, clean from top to bottom. That way any debris from the beginning on counter tops, gets swept up and mopped at the end from the floor.

  1. Windex and Paper Towel to clean surfaces (tabletops, mirrors, sinks, counters, toilet seat, ceramic, etc.)

  2. Sweep floor before mopping.

  3. Spray mop to clean floor (fill spray mop with water, then add a splash of floor cleaner). Our floor is old and worn, so minimal cleaning agent helps preserve it.

This video will show you how to put everything back in the studio and what to focus on.
