Funny FAQs About That Toronto Studio!

What should we wear for a family photo shoot in a studio?

Fun fact, if you wear green against a green screen it’ll look like just your head is floating, so we recommend that. If that’s not sounding so hot for you, then we suggest that families should try to coordinate on a colour which they all look flattering in, that also coordinates well with the studio in which they are shooting! If it’s against a coloured backdrop, this doesn’t matter so much but if it’s up against furniture or decor you should factor that in.

Is your studio child-friendly or safe for toddlers?

We gauge our safety at somewhere between a roller coaster and a padded room. Aside from that, we are child and pet friendly at That Toronto Studio! We’ve got plenty of room with over 1300+ square feet for free-range toddlers.

Can we bring grandparents or extended family members to our photoshoots?

No. Grandparents are prohibited inside our studio. Just kidding! Of course you can! :) Remember, it’s up to your photographer, and we recommend this family photographer in Toronto who always lets at least one grandparent attend a session.

Do you provide lighting, or do we need to bring our own?

Fun fact: pointing a laser beam in someone’s eye is a bad idea. Not sure why but we thought it’d be important to share that. As for what we supply: profesisonal studio lighting if needed, but we always encourage photographers to shoot with what they’re most comfortable with, so if you have your own lighting you can bring it! No charge for either / or.

Do you have changing areas or a space for outfit changes?

Change wherever you want, it’s your body! But yes, you can change either inside of our private washroom, or inside of our change room located in the makeup and hair area! We also have a steamer where you can either hotbox our washroom, or style your clothes on our clothing racks.

What kind of backgrounds do you offer for family portraits?

Is it too late to revisit that green outfits on green screen idea for the floating heads look? If so, then may we suggest multiple furniture and decor areas, as well as seamless paper backdrops which you can shoot against! We’re the most versatile fully-equipped studio and natural light and fully furnished studio in Toronto!

Can we bring food/snacks for kids during the shoot?

Snacks are allowed. We just ask that they’re not messy or nothing which may lead to stains. I.e. cracker jacks are ok, but maybe cheetos or BBQ saucy ribs are not? :P We also have a kitchenette where they can microwave their snacks, and wash their hands when they’re done eating.

Do we have the studio entirely to ourselves?

You have to share the studio with the ghosts that wander the building, but in terms of physical form, you’ll be alone. Maybe, too alone. You’ll get your own entry pin so you can access the space without staff, and no other renters will be in the space during your booking.

What if we want a more cozy, at-home vibe in the photos?

We’ve got just about everything you need. From a couch for the family to collectively sit on and scroll on social media while sitting next to each other and not muttering a single word to one other. We’ve also got a bunch of stools and mixed seating.

Do you have props or furniture we can use during the session?

Yes, we have furniture, mirrors, and occasionally if it’s just dark enough you’ll see some mysterious orbs glowing in your photos, which means you’re posing with a ghost! Say “ghost cheese”!

How do I book the studio for a family photo session?

By clicking some buttons and pressing some keys on your keyboard!

Oh, we’re supposed to provide the booking link for you? Alright then, tap on book now and let’s get it done!
